Chattanooga, Tenn.  (February 4, 2019) – The Heartland Network, Luken Communications’ country music and lifestyle television channel, announced today the expansion of its original production footprint with a second series.  The Unseen World, a travel and adventure series documenting curiosities, oddities, and wonders across America, will officially launch on March 1.  The series, created by Luken’s Matthew Golden and Toni Heath, will air exclusively on Heartland Fridays at 8:00 p.m. E/P, Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. E/P, and Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. E/P.  The series will also be added to Heartland’s live channel on Roku® as well as its VOD library.

This inventive new show will give Heartland viewers inside access to fascinating sights they might not otherwise find on the beaten path.  The first season of The Unseen World will highlight locations such as Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden; Oak Ridge, Tennessee; The Mothman Museum; City Museum in St. Louis; Expedition: Bigfoot; The Flatwoods Monster Museum; The Georgia Guidestones; Doll’s Head Trail; Ruby Falls; and Rock City.

“There are sites across the country that showcase the ingenuity, creativity, and history of human beings, many of which are unknown even to their own residents,” said series co-creator Matthew Golden. “The Unseen World is designed to spotlight these locations, where geographical artefacts stand as testaments to these acts. From unique artistic minds to historic tragedies to shadowy myths, we’re proud to bring the stories of these places to life.”

“We’ve done a massive amount of work to tell these stories, and we’re excited to create these mini-documentaries with archival images and newly-shot material to bring them to our audience in a compelling way,” said Toni B. Heath, co-creator.

Luken Communications’ president Joel Wertman added, “After the success of our first original series, More Than the Music, we knew Heartland had to dive deeper into original productions.  We looked for something unique that our viewers can’t find anywhere else. The Unseen World definitely answers the call and I’m really proud of what our team has put together.”
